Doctor of Chiropractic
Growing up, Dr. Sellers always knew she wanted to help people lead healthy lives- she just wasn’t sure which field would turn this dream into a reality. Playing soccer year-round as a child, she grew accustomed to seeing injuries and even having a few of her own. After a rather unsuccessful knee surgery and being unable to play soccer again, she knew that she wanted to help people heal properly and get back to fully functioning faster and better than before. She began seeing a chiropractor for chronic headaches in high school. Soon after beginning treatment, her headaches had improved significantly. Her treatment was also focused on her knee and she allowed her to get back onto the field after years of inactivity. It was then that she knew there was more to chiropractic than low back pain and headaches.
Dr. Sellers completed her undergraduate career at Iowa State University and the University of Tennessee studying Kinesiology and serving as a student athletic trainer for various sports teams. After undergraduate school, she moved to St. Louis to attend Logan College of Chiropractic. While at Logan, Dr. Sellers received training in myofascial release techniques, gait analysis, sports injury rehabilitation, kinesiology taping, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, pediatrics, and pregnancy care. After graduating and receiving her doctorate and a Masters degree in Nutrition, she moved with her husband and two dogs to Raleigh, NC.
She is excited to have joined the Verve team and looks forward to helping patients reach their optimum state of health and wellness.
