Balance, Awareness, Flexibility

throughout your whole body

Structural Integration is a soft tissue technique that works with bones, muscle, fascia, and organs to release restrictions, create balance, and increase awareness and flexibility throughout your whole body. During a session we evaluate your standing posture, as well as how you walk, in order to see how the parts of your body relate to each other. We look not only at the areas where you have pain, but the relationship of where there is support, or a lack of support, in your body. For instance, sometimes a painful shoulder is not fully supported by the rib cage underneath. If we create support and flexibility in the rib cage, then the shoulder does not have to work as hard to support the weight of the arm and allows for more efficient movement and stability in the shoulder.
