Meet Dr. Cooper

Doctor or Chiropractic

Dr. Haleigh has always been passionate about learning how the body works. She knew from a young age that she wanted to be a doctor. She wasn’t sure what kind until she was almost done with her undergraduate degree. She did her undergraduate studies at Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, PA, and majored in Exercise Science with a pre-PT track. During her junior year, she decided that physical therapy was not her calling. She turned her attention to chiropractic instead feeling that it suited her interests better. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in May 2014.

More about Dr. Cooper

Just two months after graduation, she moved from Pennsylvania to Marietta, GA to begin her chiropractic journey. Dr. Haleigh had no previous experience with chiropractic other than the little bit of research she had done, and a couple of chiropractic college visits. Despite her lack of experience with chiropractic, it was clear almost immediately that she was in the right place. Chiropractic just made sense to her. She loves learning how the body is a self-healing organism, and as humans we are given all the tools within us to heal. Dr. Haleigh studied many subjects in and outside of the chiropractic curriculum. She was especially interested in Gonstead and Bio Geometric Integration Techniques. She is certified in the Webster, a technique widely known to benefit pregnant women. She is also certified through Dr. Mark Werking in extremity adjusting. She has over 300 hours in extracurricular seminars for Gonstead and BGI techniques. These techniques gave her the foundation on which she practices today.

After graduation, she moved to Jamaica for 4 months to work at a chiropractic practice. When she returned, Dr. Haleigh started and ran a practice in Gibsonville, NC for a year before joining the team at Verve.

She loves to see all kinds of patients, especially women and children. Since joining the Verve team, her knowledge of pediatric and infant adjusting has grown immensely. She has taken care of many babies just days, weeks and months after they have been born and enjoys seeing newborns in our office on a daily basis.

She uses a holistic approach to analyze the body, and considers factors like lifestyle, emotional well-being and physical presentation for all her patients.  She believes that health consists of three main factors: mind, body and spirit, and she works with clients to bring balance to all areas of their health.
